My mentor told me to read Emerson; specifically: “Self-Reliance.” His essay. The first few paragraphs are extraordinary. He traveled to Europe in his time to meet the leading intellectuals of the day. He was seriously disappointed and wrote words that attest to that.
Then, you read his first few paragraphs in ‘Self-Reliance,” and you begin to understand why, should your mind be set to rightly acknowledge that footing.
Such wisdom sticks:
“Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string,”
Such a statement, to he or she who has the ears to hear, takes its place among the brightest lights in the firmament.
The heavens exist to explore such sentiments.
