When faced with great danger & when people panic & seek a false sense of safety, run towards the roaring and go where you fear to go. For only in facing your fears can you find some safety & a way through. When the world rattles & the end seems near, go towards the roar.~M Meade

The problem with our gurus, our teachers, our presidents, our scientists, our so called entrepreneurs, is that they don’t go deep enough.

They adjust to the pandemic, just as our doctors and most of our scientists treat symptoms, rather than seeing what is actually is going on.

If they did,…If they were still enough to be so so deeply present as they claim, they would see it. They would become privy to grace. But they do not.

They run from pillar to post and plainly ignore what is before us.

If they would listen to the deepest wisdom they would come to see that their grief is wholly unnecessary.

Not because things don’t die, we all die. It is due to the fact that they do not die before they die. To do that one must study what it means to listen.

And so they have not fathomed what it is to live. They carry their pain and their sorrow and lay waste to the world and then, congratulate themselves. That’s just how mad it has gotten.

They have failed to pause, to be still enough, to reconcile the essential, to inhabit another dimension, one where the depths of love are communicated.

The problem with humanity is that it has yet learned to live. Well, that episode is over now. So completely over. That madness ends now. For all time. It is time. Now we wake up. I watched the first domino fall. And as it fell every single other one followed..

One of the most important things I’ve learned in life is to accept this moment for what it is. Do not spend your energy resisting what is. Get to acceptance as soon as you can and that will allow you to cope with this present moment.

Dr. Bruce Perry and I get into the art of acceptance in our book #WhatHappenedToYou. We’ve also been having nightly talks to amplify the themes in the book with some people you may know.
